Myself, Jason and Karl took a trip to Grand Turk to scout out a possible location for a casino there.  It was only a quick jaunt over but it was enough to see most of the sights as it is not a big island at all.  After getting info and footage on the location and making some notes, we rented some scooters to see the rest of the island.  The trip began with an airplane ride of course.  Here is the ride, the airport, and a quirky little picture of the pilot posing for me with the plane.

Here are a few pics of our scooter adventure.  Notice the upscale rental building where we got our scooters.  Very modern and chic.

We stopped at a favorite local bar called the Sandbar.  Good food and good drinks.  Mojitos of course.

And a few shots of the local beach.

Later in the day we stopped at the newly built Cruise Ship Center.  As you can see, there are a ton of chairs available for the cruise ship guests, as far as the eye can see.  The third picture demonstrates the locals unique ability to predict the weather.  Not sure why the crazy white stuff is included in the weather forecast, if the conch is white, then hell must have frozen over.

Next up was Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett's namesake.  The Landshark Party reminds me of the Great White Wine days from back in Burke House.

Also on the island we saw lots of wildlife, virtually none of it indigenous though.  Horses and Goats roamed freely in the streets, and we even came across some type of bird that may have been a crane.  The last picture has a lady swimming with her dog on one of the gorgeous beaches.

Just before leaving, we saw another form of wildlife that was very nice, the bikini mower.

Finally the day ended, but alas there was not enough room on the plane for all 3 of us.  Sadly, we had to leave Karl behind for a later flight, as you can see he was less than impressed.  Bye Karl, Bye.

Until next time...
