It's off to Toronto for the filming of "Negotiating Sins", the short film based on the script for "The Life Of Reilly".  Should be a good time.  Keep checking the film section as well as the Daily Blog for updates on the film.

Here's a photo of a bar inside Logan Airport in Boston where we had a stopover.

Today was declared a half holiday in St. Kitts so that all Kittitians and Nevisians can attend the closing stages of the group stage games at Warner Park.  That is where St. Kitts is hosting their share of the ICC Cricket World Cup.  Don't ask me what a "half holiday" is, 'cause I don't have the faintest idea.  I'm guessing maybe all businesses close early, but then you would still miss half the game, so I don't quite see the point.  But I digress...

Aerogarden Update.  The sprouts are coming up.  Looks like there will be herbs in a month after all.

Here's a great little short film found on YouTube called Tony vs. Paul.  It is fairly creative and I can imagine it may have taken quite a bit of work to finish it.

My sister has left for back home after her and her husband had a great visit in St. Kitts for the week.  They stayed on the resort here at the Marriott.  I will have some more pictures in the coming days.

Speaking of vacations, I will be headed to Toronto for a little visit for about ten days in the first week of April.  Should be a good time as I am shooting a short film called "Negotiating Sins" while I am there.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Well, what a St. Paddy's day it was for Ireland.  They defeated the much, much higher ranked team Pakistan by 3 wickets, and knocked them out of the ICC Cricket World Cup today.  I can only imagine the party back in Ireland for this little celebration.  Needless to say, Cricket is a little more popular over there than it is in North America.

We had a green day at the Royal Beach Casino of course.  People wore green and we had 2 for 1 Carlsberg beer at the bar all night.  It was a good party as the band played on through the night.

The folks have a new toy called the Aerogarden.  It's basically an indoor garden that works on the principal of hydroponics.  It looks pretty cool and claims you'll have herbs and vegetables in your kitchen in 30 days.  It's run by a combination of artificial lighting and nutrients you add to the water.  They don't deliver to Canada, but I had some success finding a company in Toronto that would ship it out.  I'll keep you posted as to the success of the little experiment over the next month or so.  I think it would be perfect for me in St. Kitts, but I don't think they deliver this far, lol.

We went to Mr. X's Shiggidy Shack for some grub and a few beer.  The ribs were great and the Mahi Mahi was dynamite.  We also hit Buddy's, Rainbow Bar and Inon's for a few.

It's Daylight Savings Time and my sister has arrived for her Spring Break.  Christine and her husband Adam are here at the resort for a week and so I went all out and had the Limo pick them up at the airport.  They arrived around 3pm, but unfortunately, not all their luggage made it with them.  Hopefully the airline will get it here by tomorrow.  But they should be fine for a few days.  Here's a few pics of them in the limo and in their villa at the Marriott.

Here is the newest trailer for the movie "300".  It hits theaters everywhere today, except St. Kitts of course.  It is based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller.  He also did "Sin City", which I enjoyed very much.  It looks like 300 has been done in the same vein as Sin City, a bit of a unique style of film.  Can't wait to see it.

300 is basically a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army.  Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy.  The film brings Miller's acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale.

Here's a couple of pics from the tennis courts on the Marriott Resort.  That's Cliff in the first picture and Rinel in the second picture.  There was a full moon out for us to play under, but as you can see, I still haven't mastered the nighttime exposure shot with no flash.

Check out this little short film from Kanrac Entertainment and OG Productions.  These are the same two groups that produced "A Fine Line" starring yours truly.
