The sea was angry today my friends!  Haven't seen the surf that rough in quite a while.  At least the windsurfers took advantage of the crazy wind today.

It was a good time to grab a cold one as everyone waited for the storm to pass.  In usual St. Kitts fashion, it poured for ten minutes and then was gorgeous again.

The weekend is here!!  I shot my best back nine ever at the golf course.  44.  Should have been a good round if it wasn't for the disastrous 49 on the front nine.  Must have been the downpour.  Here's a pic of the storm coming in.

Here's a photo of a pretty big house off the 3rd Green, just off Timothy Bay Beach on the Caribbean side of the island.

We all pooled our money and went in the big $1,000 + $100 buy-in tournament of No Limit Texas Hold'em at the Caribbean Poker Classic taking place here on the resort at the Royal Beach Casino.  Eric D represented us in the close to 100 person field.  Top nine paid off, but Eric finished 22nd and we were out of the money.  Still he made a good run of it, and with a little more luck we may have made it in the money.

I was up early and had a couple of little visitors this morning on my balcony.

There was a classic, classic line from What Would Tyler Durden Do that I just read.  It goes "...and you'll know when she starts getting hollowed out by dudes like that because every time her skinny ass opens her mouth, a beam of sunlight will hit the floor between her legs."

If you haven't seen the site, check it out.  It's a pretty funny commentary on the current affairs of some of your favorite, or not-so-favorite, celebs.

Took a little break at Mr. X's Shiggidy Shack down at the Beach.  It's a great little outdoor bar on the Caribbean side of St. Kitts.  Get the lobster.

I'm quite devastated that I'm going to be missing Casino Royale tomorrow.  The newest Bond with Daniel Craig as the invincible spy.  The local theatre isn't quite acceptable for anything but roaches, or so I've heard.  I know Craig has taken a beating in the press, mostly from Bond addicts, but I think he's going to bring something fresh to the role.  Can't wait.  Send me your reviews.

I snapped a great pic of the resort from the top of a local hill while going for a little Mountain Bike ride.  It's a little far away but you get the idea.

The new Spiderman 3 trailer was leaked online.  Not sure how long it will last since I'm guessing Sony doesn't want it out there.  Check it out here.  Looks fantastic!  Great shots of Venom and Sandman.  It also looks like the Hobgoblin is thrown in there as well.  My personal favorite.  Too bad they couldn't replace Kirsten Dunst.

I just saw where Hyatt Hotels are offering a 30 minute massage for people who have "Blackberry Thumb".  It costs about $30.  It seems the American Physical Therapy Association has recently recognized "Blackberry Thumb" as an official workplace stress related injury.  I'm not sure about "Blackberry Thumb", but I did know quite a few people with "Nintendo Thumb" back in the 90's.

I was talking to my sister and it looks like her and her husband will be coming down to St. Kitts for a visit in the New Year.  Very exciting.  Looking forward to it.  Time now to finish watching "The Mummy 2" before I have to get ready for work...

Remembrance Day.

Absolutely the most important day of the year!!  More than 1,500,000 Canadians have served our country, and over 100,000 have died. They gave their lives and their futures so that we may have our freedom and live in peace.

Lest we forget!

Here's a couple of great pics from the golf course.  Played a round with Larry O, Mike and Rod.  Mike came about an inch from a hole in one on Hole #9.  That was the closest I've ever seen anybody to getting a hole in one.

Rod literally had to take a shot off the beach.  He hit the ball before the Atlantic Ocean came crashing in around him.  Just when we left, there was a single rain cloud coming toward us.  You could see the funnel of rain coming down.  It was pretty cool.  Haven't seen anything like that before.  I snapped a quick picture of it.  You can see the dark funnel coming down in the center.

Golf sucks!  I can't believe I'm getting worse.  It's pretty bad when you hope the ball goes in the rough 'cause you can't hit off the fairway.  My buddies club slipped out of his hand and smoked me in the arm.  Damn it hurt!  Fortunately it wasn't my throwing arm.  I've got a huge welt now.

Watched my show 'Lost' last night.  Big cliffhanger for the fall season finale.  Kate, oh sweet Kate, finally got it on with one of the boys, Sawyer.  Jack was less than impressed, but in good ole Jack fashion, he still tried to save Kate in the end.  Looks like Sawyer doesn't get shot, from the previews they showed of coming shows.  So I guess it wasn't much of a cliffhanger after all.  But it's so good, I'm hooked.

Unfortunately, the O.C. only had 3.9 million viewers for the season premiere.  That's not good.  It could be headed for the graveyard.  Too bad, Peter Gallagher is brilliant on it.

Check out the "almost" full moon.  Incredible view.

Finally a day off...  Spent the morning golfing with Larry O.  Have a great couple of pics to show at the par three 15th hole, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.  Doesn't get much prettier than this.

Oh no.  It appears that Britney is divorcing K-Fed.  Apparently he'll be known as Fed-Ex now.  She must have heard his new CD.  I would love to voice an opinion on that, but I think it's been beaten to death quite enough already.

I just saw an article that says mice that are jet-lagged die younger, according to researchers in Washington.  They say that flying back and forth around the world or working unusual shifts takes a permanent toll on their health.  Well, they could have asked any of us in the casino business and we could have told them that.  They could have saved a bunch of money in grants by checking with us first.

Long day at work.  Spent the night watching Monday Night Football at the Oasis, a little sports bar at the beach on the Caribbean side of the island.  Not a bad place for a drink and to watch the game, but forget about eating there.  Second time for me and the food was terrible both times.

Watched a documentary on electronic election balloting in the States.  Very interesting how it is possible to change the voting process with a little know-how and there is no record that something wrong took place.  Makes you wonder how much integrity is really there.  The best part is that the companies that make the electronic balloting machines have virtually no "effective" oversight in how they do business.  They don't have to show the code to anyone, not even the controllers in the government, so who's to say it's on the up and up.  Does anyone's vote count anymore?

Quiet night.  Watched my Patriots lose to the evil Colts.  Saw a great article on the web comparing the Patriots and Colts to rental cars.  If you had to rent a car to drive across the US, and the car on the left was nothing flashy, but it would get you there in the end, but the car on the right was real flashy and nice, but there was a 99% chance that it would break down somewhere around Nevada, which car would you choose?

Well, that's the comparison to a Patriots fan and a Colts fan.  You can choose the Colts, but they will break down in the end.  The Patriots are like the car on the left, they aren't flashy, but they still end up winning at the end of the season.  Needless to say, I'll take the car on the left.

Today saw a friend of mine make the final table of the Ultimate Blackjack Tour that will be broadcast on CBS.  The final table had an incredible setup on the Royal St. Kitts Golf Course on St. Kitts and was sponsored by our very own Royal Beach Casino.  My buddy made the top six, which was quite an accomplishment and took home about $3K.  Not bad for a mornings work.

Got a couple of nice pictures sent to me from my buddy Jason March.  They just finished the World Poker Tour North American Championship at my old stomping ground, the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort.  Here's a couple of the pics:

Sounds like the tourney was a huge success.  I'm going to have to make plans to attend next year.
